With an idea borrowed from the famous Asterix comic strip, and with a humorous mood, after seeing a map of Greece on the night of the elections of May 21, the conversation turned to the “Galata village”, which remained outside the general rule of the first side: this Rhodopeswhich was “painted” in the pink color of infinite blue, as the only one where the first place was taken by SYRIZA.
In the 2019 election campaign, pink in Thrace was Prefecture of Xanthi and in the recent elections it turned blue. In Piraeus they want, for both symbolic and essential reasons, the same thing to happen now in the Rhodopes. These, together with the repetition of the absolute in monohedrons (nine of the nine won by Piraeus), are the two biggest stakes in the ballot box, which will be set on June 25th. The numbers are said to make it nearly impossible to win both of these bets.
The Rhodope case, where the difference between the first SYRIZA and the second N.D. with only 3,721 votes, have taken on special characteristics as there is known to be a lot of tension between the two parties in the past 24 hours, centered on complaints (even within the local organization SYRIZA, on Sundays “K” and the report of St. Jim) that the party’s elected deputy, Ozgur Ferhat, achieved an impressive first result, removing T. Harito from his seat as a result of the intervention of the Turkish consulate.
1) Changing of the guard at N.D. in Evrytania, where instead of K. Kontogeorgos, Tomais Oikonomou took the place, and in Kastoria, Maria Antoniou replaced Z. Tsikalay.
2) A general increase in the share of the KKE, as a result of which, among other things, it acquired its own small “galatic village”: in the municipality of Ikaria – the unicameral Samos – it took first place, receiving 1935 votes and 35.08%.
3) Freedom Sailing recorded an upward trend in the complex monohedral regions as well, with a typical doubling of the percentage in Kefalonia and Lefkada.
