Health Minister Alexandru Rafila did not know how to say on Thursday what salary increase porters or nurses will receive due to the emergency decree passed by the government today. “I don’t think this percentage is important. It is important that the salary level is the level of 2022,” said Rafila.
Later, Dan Carbonaru, a government spokesman who cited several examples, rescued him.
VIDEO (from 1:22:30) Rafila asked how the salary in Health Care will be increased:
- “I don’t know the exact amount, it depends on the salary for each category, I will find out and we will inform you through a press release. I don’t think that percentage is important. (..)
- I don’t know if the Secretary of Education (rather than the Secretary of Labor) has the answer to this question, but I doubt that given the variety of occupations we know exactly how much each worker receives.
- It is important that the salary level be the level of 2022.” said Alexander Rafila in the government on Thursday.
He emphasized that the adoption of today’s decree on the state of emergency corrects injustice.
- “This is a set of requirements, and at least more than half of these requirements will be implemented in the near future, and the signing of a collective agreement, filling of vacant positions, vacation tickets, and the order that appeared today show that. the seriousness of the dialogue and the adoption of these measures.”, – said Rafila.
Health Minister Alexandru Rafila did not know exactly how many health workers would benefit from these salary adjustments at the 2022 grid level.
- “Several tens of thousands of people. I can tell you that there are more than 40,000 people in hospitals who are equated to this category of staff,” said Rafila, who was rushing to a meeting with health unions protesting outside the government on Thursday. .
HotNews.ro asked the Minister of Health why he did not prepare with this information, as did, for example, the Minister of Education Ligia Deka, when the Decree on salary increases in education was adopted.
- “I know what the Decree contains. I have briefly told you what it contains. It contains the equalization of salaries of auxiliary medical personnel of the health care sector to the level of 2022. (..)
- I am very prepared. Salary increases are provided for medical personnel, nurses, porters and other categories of personnel.
- I’ll give you a percentage back. To give you an exact percentage. Do you think it is important? I’m not on the street (and not medical professionals) for this.”, – said Rafila.
What will be the salary of a nurse or porter according to the order adopted by the Government today
Dan Carbonaru, the government spokesman, later returned with information on the matter.
- “For the personnel of this category, there is an increase from 2 to 5%. What I can tell you, to give you a few examples, is that in the case of a nurse, the increase is 200 lei from 4,242 lei to 4,423 lei, and the porter will reach 3,676 lei after the increase approved by the Government today. Of course, for other details, as promised by Minister Rafila, colleagues from the Ministry of Health can provide you with a full schedule of promotions,” said Dan Karbunaru.
As health workers protested in front of the government on Thursday, Prime Minister Chuke announced that the executive would today pass an emergency decree that would see all professional categories in both the health and defense sectors, public order and national security will receive their salaries up to the grid level from 2022.
