The PSD has avoided an official statement on the scandal caused by allegations of harassment by MEP Mihai Tudos, but party members are being instructed on how to respond in the event.
Libertatea wrote about PSD’s “assessment” sent on Monday – the “assessment” is the party’s communication manual for its members, who are taught how to approach the issues of the day as a unit, in the party’s political interests.
The version, which is being urged to support members of the SDP, says that the former councilor is upset that she was fired three years ago.
- “Actually, it’s about a former councilor who was upset that she was fired 3 years ago.
- The dismissal took place after a special commission of the European Parliament found that she did not properly fulfill her professional duties, that is, she overstated the expenses of the Cabinet of Ministers and carried out illegal lobbying activities on behalf of the MEP.
- The person in question does not want to deny his identity precisely so that he will not be sued.
- It is difficult to explain why these accusations appear three years after the relevant advisor no longer worked in the MEP’s office, was no longer under his “pressure” or “influence” at all,” PSD’s assessment, reports Libertatea.
Mihai Tudose, accused of harassment by a former nurse
A former nurse accuses MEP Mihai Tudose of harassment and abuse of power. Tudose is defending himself, saying “it’s a story full of disappointments” and that he fired the nurse.
The story of Florina, his former assistant, was published on Saturday by Europa Liberă. Florina, a fictitious name to protect the woman, recounts the two months during which his boss tried to possess her and then resorted to verbal and mental abuse.
In the end, the woman left her job as an MEP, and the human resources department of the European Parliament helped to find a reason for her dismissal. If he quit, he would not be entitled to severance pay.
As G4media learned, we are talking about Mihai Tudose. In a response to Free Europe, the MEP defends himself, claiming that the statements of his former Free Europe aide are lies.
“She didn’t leave, I kicked her out,” the MEP replies. He accuses her of wrongful actions with his right to sign, including allegedly overstating costs or conducting illegal lobbying activities.
“This is part of the truth, and from it comes a lie. It is a story full of disappointments and what she imagined would be good to happen,” says Tudose.
“Not everyone who looks like a victim is a victim. He can also be an aggressor. For her, this is an interesting story about why she no longer works in the European Parliament,” the MEP believes.
Mihai Tudose was elected as a member of the European Parliament on the “Pro Romania” lists. Then he returned to PSD.
