Detention of 17 foreigners was carried out GREEK POLICE. within the framework of operational-search measures (CRIMINAL REMOVAL) for the identification, detention and administrative expulsion of persons included in criminal groups (gangs committing property crimes, drug trafficking, etc.).
The operation was carried out from 15-05-2023 to 05-06-2023 in the wider center of Athens, in particular in the areas of Agios Panteleimon, Kallithea, Acropolis, Kypseli, Omonia, Patision.
The 17 foreigners who were arrested did not have the necessary documents to legally stay in the country and were subjected to an administrative expulsion measure.
According to EL.AS. those arrested were discovered after analyzing the crimes in certain areas of the center of Athens, where repeated criminal acts of marked individuals belonging to the cells of criminal groups were noticed.
