
After two seasons in the French capital, Leo Messi’s adventure at Paris Saint-Germain will end at the end of the 2022-2023 season, the club announced on official website.
PSG officially announced the parting with Lionel Messi
In an official statement, the French club thanks the Argentine, who won the Ballon d’Or seven times and two titles with the Parisians.
Messi made his debut for PSG on 29 August 2021 in a Ligue 1 match against Reims and went on to make 74 appearances for the Reds, scoring 32 goals and providing 35 assists.
“I would like to thank Leo Messi for his two seasons in Paris. “It was a pleasure to see the multiple Ballon d’Or winner at Parc des Princes, win back-to-back Ligue 1 titles and inspire our young players,” said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
“Thank you to the club, the city of Paris and all the fans for these two years. I wish you all the best in the future,” Lionel Messi also sent.
