Nonika Galinea was born in Athens in 1938. Her career began at the Art Theater. He collaborated with Karolos Kuhn, Katina Paxinou, Dimitris Horn, Anna Sinodinou, Alexis Minoti, Dimitris Mirat and others. Since 1969 he lived and collaborated with Alekos Alexandrakis. Together they created two theaters: the Ilisia Theater and the Ilisia Studio.

He then collaborated with the National Theatre, the State Theater of Northern Greece and the Amphitheatre. He also collaborated with the Athens Concert Hall and performed at Megali and Mikri Epidavros and Covent Garden in London.

In her career she has collaborated with established artists such as Minos Volanakis, Giannis Kokkos, Spyros Evaggelatos, Michalis Kakoyannis, Andreas Voutsinas, Stuart Burge, Dionysis Fotopoulos, Theoni Aldridge, Nikos Petropoulos and others.

All these years he lived for a long time in London.

He translated seventeen plays, many of which have been published. She also published her autobiography: “My Life”, Livani publications, 2005, “Return”, Janos publications, 2007.

For her contributions to Greek theater, she was awarded the 2006 Kiveli Prize and the 2017 Nikos Kourkulos Prize.
