The ninth favorite of the competition in Paris, Kasatkina won a convincing victory over the American Peyton Stearns with a score of 6-0, 6-1.
The athlete from Russia dictated the pace, hit much more accurately than her opponent (12 unforced errors, and Peyton – 30) and almost always played on the first serve (93%).
