Even if the process goes according to plan, more than a year will pass between success in the competition and final hiring. In particular, three job notices are expected to be issued through ASEP (Superior Board for Personnel Selection) in the coming months, corresponding to approximately 5,500 vacancies.

In particular, under ASEP, one notification will be issued for the university education category, one for the technology education category, and one for special scientific personnel. These are positions that have been foreseen and included in the recruitment plan for 2022-2023 drawn up by the Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with the agencies that requested the staff. The Cabinet approved the 2022-2023 hiring plan, with 2024 hiring expected in the fall. Only those who succeeded in the recent ASEP competition can participate in the 2022-2023 and 2024 hiring planning notices.

The winners of the competition amounted to 14,837 people, which is 19.3% of those who took part in the competition. A total of 76,799 candidates participated in the ASEP 2C/2022 pan-Greek announcement writing competition, which took place on Saturday, March 4. A successful candidate is considered to have passed 55% of the base in each subject from the examinees.

As already noted, success in the competition is the first step towards employment in the public sector. Following the publication of the announcements, successful applicants will be invited to submit an application indicating their preference to certain institutions. Then their ranking increases due to the presence of a doctoral degree, knowledge of a foreign language and experience and increases accordingly from 1-5 years. For some positions, which concern large municipalities, the area is also taken into account and is taken into account in the total score. “Each candidate’s prospect of being nominated depends on the score they have already achieved in the written competition, any allowances they are eligible for, and the ratio of places/successful candidates in the specialty or specialties for which they are eligible to apply. , provided that he has the qualifications required for each position,” notes ASEP.

The next competition will take place in 2025 as specified by ASEP (based on law 4765/2021).
