King Charles will visit our country for a five-day visit and on Friday he will be received by President Klaus Iohannis at the Kotrocen Palace, as the British sovereign is making a private visit. The British sovereign will go on a campaign in Transylvania, and his son, Prince Harry, who lives in the USA, will come to London to testify in the trial against the Mirror media group, writes The Telegraph.

Telegraph sources say the king will be absent during the Duke of Sussex’s visit to London as he plans to take a private trip to Transylvania. While his father is in Romania, Prince Harry is due to go to London’s High Court in early June as he sues Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) for allegedly tapping his phone.

King Charles’ solo trip to Romania, scheduled for five days, coincides with a rare appearance of his son in the UK, which means that it is unlikely that they will see each other, writes The Telegraph, citing news.ro.

Harry returned to London after his extremely rushed visit to England earlier this month to attend his father’s coronation.

The Duke of Sussex was then in such a rush to get home to California that he was still wearing his medals and morning suit when he arrived at Heathrow Airport for his return flight, The Telegraph said.

When he arrived for the coronation, the Duke spent the night in Windsor at Frogmore Cottage, but did not see his older brother William, Prince of Wales, or speak to his father or stepmother, Queen Camilla, the British publication reported.

Prince Harry previously traveled to Britain in late March to file another wiretapping complaint, this time against The Daily Mail. Even then he did not see the king, who was said to be too busy at his Highgrove residence.

King Charles will stay in Wiskra

According to The Telegraph sources, King Charles will remain at his home in Transylvania. The Queen will not accompany him on this trip, preferring to remain at her home in Wiltshire.

During his annual visits to his beloved home in Transylvania, the king apparently likes to spend his days walking the hills and painting, and his evenings reading.

King Charles has been a long-time visitor to Romania, where he currently owns at least 10 properties, having bought his first property, an 18th-century Saxon house in the village of Viscri, in 2006.

The countryside around his Wiskra home gives the nature-loving monarch the opportunity to go on excursions and see wildflower meadows, as well as walking and riding trails.

The royal estate has no Wi-Fi, TV or radio, but the living room now has “a small hi-fi CD player”, according to The Telegraph.

Prince Harry will testify at the trial in London

Meanwhile, Prince Harry is expected to give evidence in person at the trial against MGN in London early next week, where he will meet former Mirror editor Piers Morgan, who has become one of the Sussex family’s fiercest critics.

His appeal is expected to last three days, including opening statements and statements on the witness stand, when Herzog and MGN will hear from witnesses.

Prince Harry is one of a number of celebrities who have filed lawsuits seeking damages from the press group for allegedly unlawfully gathering information.

At the start of the trial, MGN admitted that the collection of information about the Duke was illegal, for which it “unreservedly apologises”. However, MGN denies wiretapping. The group also said its past performance “justifies compensation” in his case.

King Charles visits Romania less than a month after his coronation

The King of Great Britain Charles III will arrive in Romania on June 2. According to official data, he will not be accompanied by Queen Camilla, his wife.

The King will travel during the visit to his residence in Wiskra. The last visit by Charles, then Prince of Wales, was in May 2022.

King Charles has at least 10 properties in Romania, the most famous of which is Viscri.

President Klaus Iohannis and his wife were among those who attended the coronation of King Charles earlier this month. Charles was crowned on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London in the biggest ceremony seen in Britain for 70 years.
