Dan Petrescu can become the coach of Jeonbuk (South Korea)

Yes, Dario Focardi reports that Petrescu has given a handshake to Jeonbuk, a team that has won nine league titles since 2009.

In the current season, Jeonbuk is only 7th in the standings, having collected 18 points in 15 rounds. Ulsan Hyundai leads (38 points).

According to the source, Dan Petrescu will debut on the bench of the new team on June 11 against “Ganwon” (11th place).

Jeonbuk is currently coached by the current Kim Do Heon. In addition to domestic football players, the team includes a Japanese (Amano) and three Brazilians (Gustavo, Rafa Silva and Andre Luis).

The news comes shortly after boss Nelutu Varga announced that the coach will stay at CFR for another year.

It remains to be seen whether Petrescu will be on the bench of CFR in the match with Kraiova 1948 for a place in the Conference League (Thursday, from 20:30).

In Asia, Dan Petrescu also coached Jiangsu Suning, Guizhou Hengfeng, Al Arabi and Al Nasr.
