A young tourist was struck by lightning in the sea, as a result of which he died. The incident took place in the area of ​​Agia Agati, on the eastern side of the island. This is a 26-year-old Briton who was vacationing in Rhodes.

OUR a young tourist was in the water during heavy rain and, despite the calls of other bathers to get out, remained in the sea. The sad incident happened shortly before 2 pm. EKAV was immediately notified and rushed to the scene, and with the help of other bathers, the 26-year-old young man was taken to land, where rescuers fought for his life.

At the same time, the process of his transfer to the Archangelos Health Center began, where doctors and nurses continued the struggle of the EKAB rescuers to bring him back to life, but, unfortunately, it was too late.

The Rhodes Central Port Authority has been informed of the incident and will conduct an appropriate investigation.
