
Interim Prime Minister of Greece Ioannis Sharmas congratulated the President of Turkey with a letter Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his re-election and he wished peace and prosperity to the Turkish people.
It is noted that in the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan emerged victorious, gaining 52.16% against 47.84% received by his opponent Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
The next electoral derby in Turkey will be the 2024 self-government elections, when city halls are also expected to be determined in Ankara and Istanbul, which are currently controlled by the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP).
