
Ionela Kozmijuk won the gold medal in the academic rowing lightweight singles (LW1x) competition on Sunday at the European Championships in Bled, Slovenia.

Ionela made a spectacular comeback in the last 500 meters and overtook her rival from Greece. The Czech Republic completed the podium.
Also on Sunday, the crew of Florin Arteni and Cipriano Tudose took 1st place in the Men’s Sculls B Final (M2x) and finished 7th overall.
