Bayern Munich are the old and new champions of Germany, after a dramatic 2-1 victory over FC Köln. Unexpected help to the Bavarians was provided by Mainz, who drew 2:2 with Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund drew with Mainz in the last round of the Bundesliga.

Despite being held goalless by the visiting team at home, Borussia Dortmund lost their clash with Mainz and certainly their chance to end Bayern Munich’s hegemony.

Borussia Dortmund made a terrible start against Mainz and conceded a goal in the 15th minute, Sebastian Haller had a chance to equalize four minutes later, but the Ajax forward wasted a shot from 11 meters.
