The Frenchman defeated the tournament’s 4th favorite Francisco Cerundolo (28 ATP) in the end of the match, which the athlete from Hexagon completed in one hour and 34 minutes.
Phils played very well in the first set, losing only 3 games, and won the second set after a rather tough fight against Argentinian Serundolo.
