Russian armed forces bombed Kyiv on the night of Thursday to Friday announced the civil and military administration of the city, according to which all Russian rockets that were launched were intercepted and destroyed.

“Another air strike on Kyiv, the 13th in a row since the beginning of May” and “as always, it’s night,” the military command reported on Telegram. According to the same source, the cruise missiles were fired from Tu-95MS strategic bombers flying over the Caspian Sea.

“According to preliminary information,” he added, “all the ‘missiles that flew’ into the airspace of Kyiv were detected and destroyed.”

At a morning briefing, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 55 Russian air strikes over the past day, 36 kamikaze drone strikes and four missile strikes.

“An S-300 missile hit a dam in the Karlovsky district of Donetsk region” (east), the same source said, adding that “as a result, the risk of flooding of settlements in the region is high.” However, he claimed that all air attacks were repulsed.

Explosion investigation in Crimea

Also in Russia, an “explosion” damaged property in Krasnodar, a city near Crimea, with no casualties reported, according to local authorities cited by Russian state news agency RIA.

The pro-Russian news organization Readovka published on Telegram a photo of a house whose deadline and roof were damaged and blackened by flames.

The incident “is being investigated,” Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov said on Telegram, adding that the roof of a neighboring house was also damaged.

In early May, a series of attacks and sabotage took place in Russia, in particular, the crash of two freight trains and a fire in a fuel depot as a result of a UAV strike. And on Monday, two armed groups calling themselves Russians attacked from Ukraine in the Belgorod region of Russia. It has been described as the most serious incursion of forces loyal to Kyiv into Russian territory since the start of the war 15 months ago.
