Restrictive conditions for removing electronic surveillance of Eva Kylie

A travel ban and supervision by a welfare officer are among the other conditions for Eva Kylie’s release, according to an order by Investigating Judge Michel Clez.

According to the May 25 ruling of Judge Michel Clez, which APE-MBE has learned, the conditions for the release of Eva Kaili, who is charged with participation in a criminal organization, corruption and money laundering, are as follows:

  • equipment used for electronic surveillance must be returned;
  • live at the place of residence and not change the place of residence without prior notice to the investigator;
  • not to leave Belgian national territory without the prior written permission of the investigator;
  • not to make contact with any of the persons involved in the case under investigation, including through the media;
  • respond to all calls from the police or the judiciary, including calls sent by experts appointed by them; and
  • be available for observation by a member of the Attorney’s Office for Social Security.

These terms went into effect on May 25th and will expire on August 25th unless they are extended or changed.

According to Investigator Klez’s ruling, these conditions are mandatory for the release of Eva Kylie. “Given the circumstances of the case, there are serious grounds to fear that if the defendant is released without appropriate conditions, she will repeat her criminal behavior,” the ruling says.
