
Two youths from a commune in Kelerashi County are under criminal investigation after they stole several goods from a construction site and used the vehicle they were transporting the stolen items in to cause two accidents within minutes, both times leaving the scene of the crime . In addition, the driver of the car did not have a driver’s license, reports News.ro.
The events took place in the municipality of Calaras.
“Actually, the police were informed that an unknown person was driving a car on Prelungirea Bucureşti street, and at the intersection with Ciocârliei street, he did not yield the right of way, colliding with a motorcyclist. As a result of the impact, the 17-year-old driver of the motorcycle received injuries and was taken to the hospital. In addition, the driver continued driving, having collided with the fence of the building, and later left the scene of the accident,” the Calarasi police reported.
Two were detained
The checks carried out by the police made it possible to identify the person who was driving the car involved in two accidents. Investigators identified him as a 25-year-old man who was accompanied by a 23-year-old passenger, both from the Štefan cel Mare commune of Kelerashi county.
In the car, the police found several goods that had been stolen from the construction site of a commercial firm, and after checking, they found that the driver of the car did not have a driver’s license.
Both young men were arrested and charged with aggravated theft, fleeing the scene of an accident and driving a vehicle without a driver’s license.
