The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in his usual nightly speech, claims that the National Guard of Ukraine shot down two Russian SU planes in the Zaporizhzhia region, Sky News reports.
He did not provide any other details about the plane.
The call sign SU refers to aircraft manufactured by Sukhoi – the Russian military aircraft manufacturer.
“I am grateful to two of our particularly sharp warriors,” he says mysteriously.
“One of them, by the way, has already received the title of Hero of Ukraine and shot down not only enemy planes, but also a cruise missile,” the President of Ukraine noted.
The latest Ukrainian estimate of Russian losses over the last day: 500 troops, 3 tanks, 8 other battle tanks, 20 guns, 4 special vehicles, 2 different vehicles and 36 drones. Again, a large number of destroyed artillery pieces is noted, in just the last seven days, the Russian army lost 149 guns.
These are the approximate estimates of Russia’s combat losses as of May 25, according to the data of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. pic.twitter.com/pLcyNWcRZJ
