The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhnyi, appeared on Thursday in a video released by a Ukrainian army officer to deny rumors that he was killed or wounded in a Russian attack, rumors that have been circulated by pro-Russian social media users in recent days.
“Bad news for Russian propagandists! Valeriy Fedorovych is feeling well and continues to plan the liberation of Ukrainian territories from the Russian invaders,” the officer says, before the camera pans to a smiling Zaluzhny standing nearby.
Zaluzhny briefly addresses “all Ukrainians” and declares, making a victory sign: “Together we will win.”
The soldier who recorded the video, officer Anatolii Shtefan “Stirlit”, popular among Ukrainians on social networks, says that it was filmed “today, May 25”.
Bad news for propaganda!

Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar recently accused Russia of organizing a disinformation campaign about the alleged death of Zaluzhny to “demoralize” the Ukrainian army as it gained ground around the town of Bakhmut, EFE and Agerpres reported.
