UK: Activists stole three lambs from King Charles’ estate

Animal rights activists said three lambs were stolen from the Sandringham estate. King Charles, in Norfolk. Images released by Animal Rising show three women wearing pink T-shirts with the organization’s logo walking through a field full of sheep and loading lambs into a truck.

Animal Rising reported that the women picked up three lambs from Appleton Farm around 8 p.m. yesterday, Wednesday. The organization said the lambs were meant for slaughter. At the same time, he stressed that these women turned themselves in to police in Berkshire at 8 a.m. today, holding a banner reading: “I saved the royal lambs” and “That’s how we love animals.”

Sarah Foy, 23, one of the women who took part in the action, said: “Like everyone else, animals want to live safely and not be exploited. Unfortunately, this does not happen here, nor in Sandringham, nor anywhere else. Animals are meant for slaughter. That is why today we rescued three lambs – three beautiful lambs that will now live life to the fullest.”

Police confirmed that three women between the ages of 20 and 30 voluntarily reported to the police station in Slough and were arrested on suspicion of theft.

A Norfolk police spokesman said: “Norfolk Police are investigating reports of three lambs being stolen from a farm in West Newton, Norfolk. “Three women between the ages of 20 and 30 voluntarily reported to the police station in Slough and were arrested on suspicion of theft. They remain in custody,” he added.
