A tourist bus from Bulgaria burned down completely on the provincial road Sidirokastro-Kaponofytos, at the height of the bridge at the entrance to Kapnofitos, in Serra.
The fire occurred under unspecified circumstances, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle and informed the fire department.
Passengers on their way to the cave of the Ascension of the Lord in Akhladochori, where religious events are held in honor of the Ascension of the Lord, safely got off the bus.
According to ERT, five firefighters with two cars from the Sidirokastro fire station immediately rushed to extinguish it.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Serra Fire Department.
