Simona Halep, new allegations against ITF and ITIA

Simona Halep published a message on social networks in which she contested the third postponement of her hearing.

“I’m devastated again tonight. The ITF (ITIA) has again postponed my hearing for the third time by a month.

I have been waiting for the trial since last October. In December, I was finally able to show, thanks to experts, that the supplements I was using were contaminated, resulting in a positive control.

I asked, as provided by the anti-doping rules, for a quick review: this is my right, it is written in the regulations!

Unfortunately, the ITF (ITIA) postponed my hearing three times. They deny my right to be tried by an independent court. I can’t afford to play any tournaments for 8 months.

I missed the Australian Open, I will miss Roland Garros and Wimbledon. Not to mention that I lost points and ranking.

Not only are they ruining my reputation, but also myself as a professional player, not to mention the consequences for my mental health.

This disregard by the ITF (ITIA) of the expedited hearing to which I am entitled is so disrespectful to me that I am speechless….

Justice delayed is justice denied, Simona Halep wrote on social networks.
