Romania’s women’s tennis team will face Serbia in the playoffs to stay in the Billie Jean King Cup World Group, according to the draw held in London on Wednesday.

Romania suffered a dramatic 3-2 defeat against Slovenia and missed out on qualifying for the Billie Jean King Cup finals. The tricolors led 2:0, but could not finish the match and lost the doubles match.

Thus, Romania will face Serbia on November 10-11 or 11-12, and the winning team will qualify for the 2024 final tournament, while the losing team will qualify for Regional Group I in 2024, according to News.ro.

The final tournament of the Billie Jean King Cup will be held on November 7-12, 2023.
