
Two cannabis plantations with 780 seedlings, a large amount of cannabis and weapons were discovered during an operation carried out by members of the Phaistos Police Department.
The police even proceeded to arrest two men (a citizen and a foreigner) and establish the identity of another citizen who was engaged in the cultivation of cannabis seedlings, as well as the storage and circulation of cannabis. In fact, they were prosecuted for violating the law on narcotic substances and, depending on the circumstances, for violating the law on weapons.
The police operation took place in the area of ββββthe municipality of Phaistos, with the participation of police officers and the anti-crime group of the Heraklion security subdivision, as well as the operational department of the police of Messara.
As part of the operation, searches were carried out in the houses, at the entrance of I.Kh.E. a car and in greenhouses owned by citizens where a foreigner was found and detained, and inside the greenhouses two carefully cultivated hemp plantations were found with 780 seedlings in the growth stage, up to two meters high, which were uprooted and confiscated. .
In addition, a total of 57,260 grams of raw hemp, a pistol with a magazine, a revolver, a shotgun, 265 cartridges of various types and calibers, an amount of 27,800 euros in proceeds from illegal activities and a folding rod were found and confiscated. .
