His representative PASOK-Movement for Change, Dimitris Manzosspeaking in the morning on the program “Today” SKY”, conveyed the atmosphere of optimism and dynamism that reigns in Harilaou Trikoupi after the election results, stressing that “we are looking forward to the need for the country to finally strong, real, progressive programmatic oppositionan alternative positive proposal built on realistic governance conditions”.

“All this requires reliability and consistency. These are two virtues that the official opposition lacked in previous years,” he noted and continued:

“We make a positive and optimistic call to all democratic progressive citizens to build together again the Movement for Truth, in PASOK-Movement for Change. Our appeal is not to other political forces, but to citizens. They are called upon to stand up, take responsibility and create the conditions for the Greece of the future, strengthening a truly progressive alternative to governing the country.”

For his defeat SYRIZA commented that he says it’s “nothing more, nothing less than that it’s the fault of others. That’s what we called them before the elections: unarmed politics, nonsense, blurring of strategic goals, adventurism as a political compass. This is what characterized SYRIZA.”

According to him, his goal is “to change the political paradigm through an optimistic, positive, reformist program to a truly progressive alternative in our country. This is our mission: on the way to the next elections, to further open our invitation to all democratic citizens to a strong Movement for Change PASOK, a strong Democratic Party.”
