Farul made a comeback in the 2-0 loss in the Super League match against FCSB
The title won by Farul Constanta is even more beautiful as the sailors managed to make a sensational comeback on home soil.
FCSB scored twice thanks to Adrian Shute and Andrea Compagno and the match was all but decided midway through the first half.
However, Constanta did not give up and reduced the difference before the break after a mistake by Štefan Tirnovanu.
In the second half of the game, Elias Haralambous’ team was unrecognizable and Mayak overturned the score and won the title with a leg to the end of the season.
A few days after the unusual match played by his boys, Hyke Hagi told Digi Sport what he said to the players at half-time against Ovidiu.
“If you look at the pictures, I told them to keep going, to trust them. You must remain mentally connected to your goal at all times, 3 points. At halftime I told them that I don’t go into the locker room in the first 5 minutes. I sit with the staff and talk about what needs to be done.
Then I go in and tell them what we should do. I admitted it was positive. They were talking among themselves, I went in and told them to calm down. In the first half, our forwards dropped too low.
Therefore, we were not dangerous. I adjusted this thing during the break. I told them to stay between the lines and combine more.” – said the “King”.
