Ferrari Purosangue: improved by Carlex Design. News from Auto Plus in your smartphone. News from Auto Plus in your mailbox

It was in 2016. Maserati introduced the Levante SUV at the same time as Bentley introduced its Bentayga. Brands once known for their sports cars and large touring coupes have been criticized for their “perversion” of the idea of offering less elegant models than their usual creations. But this trend was beneficial to them, and since then it has been followed by all manufacturers of luxury goods.. So in 2018, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce joined the movement, with the Urus for the former and the Cullinan for the latter.. Aston Martin has gone into 2020 with its DBX. This tidal wave has affected all manufacturers, to the point that for some of them the SUV has already become a bestseller. Ferrari, which came later, is already having great success with its first SUV, the Purosangue.

Purosangue, a big success for Ferrari

AND 725 hp 6.5L V12torque 715 Nm, and a call 400 thousand€. These are the numbers for the new “thoroughbred”! Everything in very elegant body, the GTC4 Lusso is very high on its legsand testosterone. His success was astounding, and the quota of 3,000 annual units set by Ferrari was reached in the first weeks. SUVs know no crisis, and luxury SUVs even more so!

As is often the case with top new products, independent tuners quickly offered their own interpretation. This is the case Carlex Design, a Polish coachbuilder, today presents a modified version of the Purosangue. This is not his first stunt, he has distinguished himself in the past with his burlesque transformations of 4X4s, pickups and SUVs. In a completely different register, he raised the curtain in 2021 a very successful neo-retro version of the 1975 Jaguar XJ/C.

Carlex Design makes it plush

This Purosangue uses the original white and green two-tone body (Racing Green), a trademark of Carlex. The gradient between the two colors is quite neat, and they merge at the waistline in elegant stripes. IVisible wheels (23 inches!) have an original design, whose tapered look refines the silhouette and gives it character. Notice the Carlex Design crest adorning the front fenders! AT edge, a presentation of the same type, where white and green merge with leather and Alcantara. It’s an amazing vibe for a Ferrari, but the result is nice and contrasts with the red or yellow we’re used to. AT €61,275 full package (body, interior, wheels), this is a pittance for the lucky owners of Purosangue, whose entry ticket is exchanged for 384 000 euros.
