
A woman dressed in the colors of the Ukrainian flag protested on the red carpet of the 76th Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, dousing herself in fake blood before being led away by security, WION reports.
A short protest took place during the screening of the film Just Philippot Acid.
As a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the woman, whose identity is unknown, appeared in a long dress in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, yellow and blue, and doused herself in a red substance that imitates blood. while on the steps of the Palace of Festivals.

The young woman climbed the stairs, then took out several packets of red substance from her dress, which she held above her head, broke them and smeared herself with fake blood, smiling at the cameras filming her.
The security guard quickly removed her from the stairs, then other colleagues came to the rescue to pull the young woman out.
This is not the first protest on the Cannes red carpet. In 2022, a woman tore off her dress, exposing her body painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and the inscription “DO NOT RAPE US ANYMORE” was emblazoned on her body.
