Antonio Cordon is the new CTO Olympiacu. On Sunday, the 59-year-old Spaniard was in Athens, where he agreed on everything with Piraeus, and from today he starts work, the main task of which is to close the team’s new coach.

With the hiring of Cordon, Olympiacos is bringing an experienced player with 24 years of high-level experience to their football department. Although he was “besieged” by several European teams, he preferred to say “yes” to the “project” presented to him by the “red-whites”.

In his rich resume, his work at Villarreal stands out, with whom he worked for 17 years (from 1999 to 2016), while he was also in the Betis team for 2.5 seasons.

During his time with the Andalusians, the team won the Copa del Rey (2021/2022) and also reached the round of 16 of the Europa League. At Villarreal, he helped them win the Intertoto Cup in 2003 (against Heerenfen) and 2004 (against Atlético Madrid on penalties).

In addition, he has worked in Monaco (2016/2017) and Ecuador (five months in 2020), as well as passing through Italy (Parma) and China (Lifan).
