President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi on Sunday evening, addressing Ukraine from the plane, said that on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression, the country should not forget who it lost and should be strong, News.ro reports.
He talked about the trips of the last few days and the discussions regarding Ukraine.
- “We are ending this very difficult but very important week. On Friday, we had the League of Arab States. Saturday and Sunday – G7 plus Ukraine and extended format. It was intense. The world hears our voice. Guarantees of protection and security, the return of all our territories, all our people, justice, the implementation of our Peace Formula… We have an understanding with the majority of the world on every important point for Ukraine. And together we will increase the potential of Ukraine.
- Today, on Sunday, here in Hiroshima, Ukraine was a truly honored participant of the G7 summit. Ukraine is the main topic, respect for all Ukrainians is special. I am grateful to G7!
- A meeting with President Biden – and, as always, we are stronger after such discussions. The meeting with the leader of Indonesia is significant. Meeting with the President of the Republic of Korea – there is potential for strong relations. Meeting Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau – thank you Justin. I also spoke with the leaders of Vietnam and Australia. I spoke separately and in detail with the Prime Minister of Japan – we will increase cooperation. Also, a very important ceremony was held at the Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima…”, Zelenskyi said.
- “Our unity with the world, our protection for Ukrainians and our strength – the strength of the Ukrainian State – will also be the most worthy tribute to the memory of our people of various generations, whose lives have been destroyed and trampled by Russian evil through this long-lasting tyranny, which changes shape, but kills so very cruel
- Today is the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions, a day to honor the memory of all those who died under the Soviet regime. Let’s not forget what happened, let’s not forget who we lost, and let’s not forget that we have to be strong,” said the Kyivan leader.
