Iran: Three protesters over death of Mahshi Amini executed

Three men sentenced to death in Iran for involvement in the death of members of the forces of order during the protests that erupted last year in the country after the death of Mahsa Amini, they were executed today, the judicial authority said.

Majid Kazemi, Saleh Mirkhasemi and Said Yagubi were found guilty of “mokhareb” (“war against God”) and possession of weapons during a demonstration in Isfahan (central Iran), according to the Iranian news agency of Iranian justice Mizan Online.

The three men were arrested last November and sentenced to death in January. They were also found guilty of participating in “illegal groups designed to harm the security of the country and conspiring to commit crimes against internal security,” Mizan added.

“According to the testimony and statements of the defendants, the shooting (from firearms) of these three individuals led to the martyrdom of three law enforcement officers,” Mizan Online added.
