Tomorrow, Saturday, May 20, Greek women and men abroad will go to the polls to their right to vote in the 2023 general parliamentary elections.
It is noted that Greek voters residing outside Greek territory will for the first time have the opportunity to vote at their place of residence abroad if they so wish, instead of traveling to Greece (Article 2 of Law 4648/2019).
22,855 Greek voters registered on special lists of foreign voters residing outside Greece whose registration applications have been approved by the Ministry of the Interior in accordance with the electoral criteria provided for by law, as well as Greek sailors who were not included in the list of voters lists (art. 6 of Law 4648/2019) will vote in 99 polling stations established in 35 countries. To establish a polling station in the city, the condition was the registration of at least 40 voters (Article 7 of Law 4648/2019).
