Milan are in talks with Chelsea about the transfer of Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Despite a surprise run to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, Milan had a disappointing end to the season.

The team coached by Stefano Pioli lost to rivals Inter in the Champions League (3-0 on aggregate) and is only 5th in Serie A, with little chance of a top-4 finish.

The management of last season’s champion of Italy has already determined the priorities for this summer and wants to force the transfer of the player from Chelsea.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano writes that Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the number 1 priority for Milan.

This season, the 27-year-old English footballer played 22 matches in the Premier League, which is why they want him at San Siro.

Loftus-Cheek is a Chelsea academy graduate and has also featured on loan at Crystal Palace and Fulham in his career.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, valued at €25 million by Transfermarkt, can play as a central midfielder and defensive midfielder as well as a right midfielder.
