Speeding happens to all of us. Truth be told, this is probably one of the most common violations on the road, and no one is immune to committing it from time to time. After all, we are human and a small mistake happens quickly. It also happens that some people drive too fast, somewhat more voluntarily, because they are late or simply because they want to take risks. And yes, it also happens and even very often. If you’re a regular reader of the Auto Plus columns, you’ve probably noticed this. THE speeding are indeed very common everywhere in France and have been for several years.

An unusual case
And there is another type of speeding that happens a little less often. It’s what you do under pressure. It may seem strange, but this is what happened to Nicolas, the former driver of Victor Abert-Dasso, deputy for the first electoral district of Oise. The latter was detained for exceeding the speed limit on March 24, 2022 by 153 km/h instead of 80 km/h. He was transporting his boss and was sentenced to four months of disqualification, 300 euro fine as well as deducting six points from his licence. He is appealing the decision, saying that his employer would have pressured him and forbidden him to slow down.
Not yet agreed
Nicholas explains about his boss that ” I asked him to support my request for leniency. He refused on the pretext that he would not worry because the parliamentary election campaign had begun“. For his part, he claims that he did not ask him for this Risk and defends himself against the charges. Meanwhile, the driver is not working after being dangerous driving license. He decided to appeal the court’s decision and hopes that his sentence will not be left in force as it is now.
