After confessing to the investigator, the two accused brothers were sent to prison. for the death of a 52-year-old funeral home ownerafter the episode between them, last Saturday morning, in Naples, Thessaloniki.
The two defendants, aged 40 and 42, originally from Armenia, are charged with manslaughter with possible intent, which they denied in their apology, referring also to the conclusions of the forensic medical examination, according to which the death was allegedly attributed to pathological causes, and in particular in an episode of ischemia suffered by the victim during his transportation to the hospital.
The episode began with the 52-year-old man feeding stray animals outside of his business, which apparently bothered the two brothers, and residents’ testimony suggests that there were other fights as the defendants were reacting to the operation of the business in the area.
At first, both sides had a falling out, and one conversation led to another, leading to physical abuse against the 52-year-old man. In his apology, the 40-year-old admitted that he hit the victim lightly because she cursed at him. “There was a fight over the remains on the road,” he admitted, denying that his blows were the cause of death. “When we left, he was upright and conscious,” he said.
On the other hand, his brother reported, according to the information, that he tried to interfere with the fire department when the episode began. “We didn’t have precedents with him,” the 42-year-old added when asked about possible clashes with the 52-year-old in the past.
However, their statements did not convince the investigator and the prosecutor, who “showed” them the way to prison.
