Attack on the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and President of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance Alexis Tsipras launched his president PASOK – Movement for Change Nikos Androulakisduring his speech at a campaign meeting at the Ioannis Vellidis TIF Conference Center.
“For the past few hours, I have been close to bursting into tears of sadness after Mr. Mitsotakis’ statements that he had nothing to do with PASOK. Mitsotakis, I and all democratic progressive citizens have nothing to say to you,” he said.
The audience burst into applause and shouted the slogan “The people do not forget what the right is”, and President PASOK repeated it.
“What can we say to the champion of direct concessions, the champion of transfers, the champion of widespread corruption, what can we say to the champion of inequality, the champion of the de-Hellenization of the Greek economy,” he wondered, and continued: “The last twenty-four hours of Mr. Mitsotakis show who is really possessed. He is trying to convince PASOK leaders, friends, PASOK voters that I am leading you on a blind front towards a New Democracy. However, there is only one truth. In recent days, he has harbored anxiety, fear that what is being born, new, will be his real enemy, and not the cheap populism of Mr. Tsipras. Because Mr. Mitsotakis knows very well to himself that if Tsipras did not exist, then his reign would already be a thing of the past in the minds of the Greek people. Mr. Mitsotakis believes that people are forgetting their family history, with desertions, with games, with semi-state education. PASOK will not be anyone’s crutch.”
He then attacked Alexis Tsipras and SYRIZA-PS, claiming that his government during the 2015-2019 period is “Mr. Mitsotakis’s only lifeline”.
“On the other hand, Mr. Tsipras cannot pronounce the word PASOK and teaches us history lessons,” he noted, adding: “Yesterday he said that Andreas Papandreou never had a front with progressive forces. And I ask him: Are Antonaros, and now the leaders of Kammenos who filled out his ballots, progressive forces? Or is the digital parastatal company run by Koumunduru a progressive front that attacks political opponents, accusing them of being “trapped” and others of being “blackmailed”? He is the leader of a digital parastate who lacked the morale to not target a new woman, a new partner who reported violence. If they are leftists, then Mr. Tsipras lives in Latin America.”
In doing so, he referred to Andrea Papandreou and, addressing Mr. Tsipras, he remarked that “this cannot be a product usable by those who speak of supposed theories about the Prespa of the Aegean. Andreas Papandreou and the patriotic PASOK don’t go well with Aegean Prespo. Andreas Papandreou and his patriotic popular movement do not agree with the dangerous theories that there are no borders on the sea. So leave our founder and historical leader Andreas Papandreou alone in history. This political giant has nothing to do with your dangerous adventures. But Mr. Tsipras has the audacity to teach us a lesson about how the New Democracy will collapse. WHO; her big sponsor. Every week they will say something to give Mr. Mitsotakis a chance.”
