Yannick Hanfmann beat Taylor Fritz at ATP Rome

Entering the main draw after qualifying, Hanfmann (ranked 101 in the world) beat American Fritz in straight sets 6-4, 6-1. The game lasted an hour and 10 minutes.

Yannick (world No. 101) will face Marco Cecchinato (ATP No. 83) in the next round after the Italian upset Iberian Roberto Bautista-Agut (No. 21) 6-2, 6-2.

The Rome Masters takes place from May 10 to 21 on clay, is part of the ATP 1000 category, has a total prize money of €7,705,780, Novak Djokovic is the reigning champion and Rafael Nadal holds the record for titles at the Italian Forum (10 ).
