Telegram channel from Volodymyr “Dovod3” reports that School No. 1. 37 in Volodymyr recently held a “Conscript Day” for 10th grade students, according to Owen.

“The children were told about chemical defense, first aid at the front, gendarmes, as well as about weapons, helmets and body armor, after which they were strongly advised to go fight on a contract basis, reports a reader of Dovod.”

In 2022, Putin signed a law abolishing the upper age limit for volunteer soldiers and conscripts. Soldiers are now expected to be of “normal working age” (ie between 18 and about 60).
