Stefano Pioli’s team cannot recover and are behind in the fight for places in the UEFA Champions League.

The title holder in the 2021/22 season suffered an away defeat against La Spezia in the result of a modest match for the Milanese.

With a fairly experimental starting line-up, Milan held on until the 75th minute at the Alberto Picco Stadium, when Poland’s Przemysław Wysniewski opened the scoring.

After 10 minutes, Salvatore Esposito dispelled the emotions of the hosts and set the final score – 2:0.

With this result, La Spezia tied with Verona, the team above the red line of the rating.
