
The 37-year-old man claimed during the preliminary investigation that he left home on Tuesday morning with the intention of taking the child to a nursery and then to work.
On the way, they called him and said that he had to go to Lefkada because of some kind of breakdown. After the phone call, he explained that his mind was “stuck” and he forgot his baby was in the back seat, so he drove to work and completely forgot about the baby.
So he arrived at work, parked and got into his company car to go to Lefkada. While he was in Lefkada, his wife called him, and then he remembered the child. It was then that the tragedy began to unfold with a well-known sequel.
