Green crossing needs electricity

Accelerating the global energy transition will lead to a corresponding explosion in demand for electricity, with the need to more than double investment in both renewable energy and transmission and distribution networks.
From today’s 20% in a zero-emissions scenario, electricity is expected to account for 52% of global energy consumption in 2050.
