How much can you rent a King Charles holiday home

Valea Zălanului is an isolated village in the Baraolt district with just over 100 people, most of them elderly. To get to this village, you need to drive about 14 kilometers through a wilderness, a narrow country road that can barely fit two carts at the same time.

According to the LaPensiuni website, the vacation home has 5 rooms with private bathrooms. A double room can be rented for the night at a price from 533 lei to 940 lei depending on the option of serving food.

The houses retain their traditional architecture and ancestral charm, and more than a decade ago King Charles bought an old mansion on the edge of the village, which he restored and turned into a holiday residence.

A few years ago, the prestigious American magazine “Vanity Fair” mentioned the mansion in Vala Zalanului among the most beautiful objects in the world that can be rented by tourists.
