“Now, when we fight side by side with America against tyranny, we have reached a level of cooperation that was never seen before between Ukraine and the United States. But this is not the limit. We will continue to develop our cooperation – our true union. And thank you to everyone who helps us!” Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.

“I thank President Biden for his leadership. I thank both parties and houses of Congress for their continued support. I thank all Americans whose desire for freedom, together with Ukrainian aspirations, together with all our allies and partners, protects global democracy”, – said the Ukrainian president in conditions when there were speculations in the press that there would be a cooling between them. After Volodymyr Zelenskyy was on foreign trips this week, in Finland and the Netherlands, in a Friday speech to his compatriots, the president summed up the week from the point of view of international contacts, saying that he is doing everything for the world to hear, understand and help Ukraine. “Because by helping us, the world protects itself,” Zelenskyi said.

“The whole week gave Ukraine the necessary results,” the president emphasized. “I am happy to say that after the meetings in Helsinki and The Hague, we have strong reinforcements for our soldiers with weapons – on land, in the air and at sea,” Zelenskyy said. “I am grateful to our partners for this significant reinforcement,” he added.

“We have more progress on NATO and the European Union. We have more progress in holding Russia accountable for its aggression against our country,” Zelenskyy said.

The Kyiv leader announced the first thing that happened on Friday in the bilateral relations of Ukraine – he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain and stated that this country can contribute to the implementation of the Ukrainian peace plan.

“In the morning, after returning from the Netherlands, I met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain. In addition, this is the first visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country since the beginning of our diplomatic relations in 1992. This is another argument that the world not only believes in Ukraine, but also sees how our country is becoming stronger. – noted Zelensky. “I discussed with the minister how we can work together to bring peace to Ukraine and restore peace and stability in international relations. I thanked him for his constant support of Ukraine and for civilized rules, including his support at the UN. We talked about the Ukrainian peace formula, and I believe that Bahrain can contribute to its implementation,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

He then spoke about the charity platform United24, which has been a year since its creation, and said that the fundraising will now be directed to the campaign for the reconstruction of schools and demining.

“We organized the summit for the anniversary of our state charity platform United24. When this platform was launched in May of last year, our main task was to unite ordinary people all over the world, to unite for the sake of Ukraine and the defense of freedom. And I did it! United24 collects donations from different people and companies in 110 countries. We have 15 star ambassadors. I am personally proud of United24’s support of our work on the Navy’s drone fleet, as well as all frontline drone projects. These are thousands of drones that make Ukraine stronger,” the president noted. “Thanks to United24, a lot has been done in the medical field, there are results in the field of reconstruction. Now we are adding the education area – school reconstruction – and demining. This is a big task that Ukraine faces, and which can be realized not in decades, but in years, if there is sufficient global support. Not even a single Russian mine should remain on our territory!”, Zelensky emphasized.

“So, in one week: the USA and Bahrain, the Netherlands and Belgium, Finland and Sweden, Norway and Denmark, Iceland. Canada. New Zealand. African Union and Comoros Islands. And the entire multinational community of United24 donors and partners,” Zelenskyy summarized this week’s diplomatic efforts.

At the end, as every evening, the President expressed his gratitude to all those fighting for Ukraine. “Resisting, defeating and punishing the enemy is our joint task. In unity, making Ukraine stronger every day, adding new opportunities to our country every day, we will achieve victory!” – said Zelensky.
