PSD President Marcel Cholaku said that if the reform of special pensions provided for in the PNRR is not carried out when he becomes prime minister, he will take responsibility for such a law before the parliament. “Either the law passes, or I go home,” the leader of the Social Democrats added, according to News.ro
“You know my opinion about special pensions. They are also a milestone (not in the DPRK). Romania is prohibited from losing the euro from the PNRR. It is even less to lose money, because the milestone and the law on special pensions have not passed,” said Marcel Čolak on Friday in Piatra Neamts.
When asked when, in his opinion, the reform of special pensions could be completed, the leader of the SDP replied: “It is in payment demand No. 3. Payment demand No. 3 … is now overdue.”
“I assume that the minister from MIPE (Ministry of Investments and Europrojects – no) will say why we don’t have a closed law either. This is the latest World Bank report. new requirements for the law, already adopted in the Senate, are now being approved by the World Bank’s board,” Cholaku added.
He added that if the special pension reform milestone is not reached when he becomes prime minister, he will take responsibility for such a law before the parliament.
“I will not give up until we pass a law on special pensions. If it goes to the Chamber of Deputies while I am president, there will be no problem, and we already have feedback from the European Commission that it has reached the milestone set in the PNRR. If we do not meet this milestone and I become the Prime Minister of Romania, I will draft a law to take responsibility before the parliament, so either the law will be passed or I will go home. I think I was as clear as possible,” the PSD leader concluded.
