Upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live with Pete Davidson canceled due to Writers Guild strike America (Writers Guild of America).
The comedian was scheduled to return to SNL this weekend for the first time since leaving the show last year, and announced that musician Lil Uzi Vert will be his guest.
But NBC has since announced that it will be airing reruns due to the strike.
The US broadcaster said in a statement, according to Variety, “SNL reruns will air starting Saturday, May 6, unless otherwise announced.”
It’s unclear if any new episodes will end up airing in season 48, as the show usually goes on a summer hiatus after May.
Speaking on The Tonight Show earlier this week, Pete Davidson joked about the possibility of SNL being cancelled. “It’s not positive, because it’s just related to my strange story that is spinning in my head. I guess they didn’t want me to host the show – it’s all about me!” write down.
