Giugiaro presents five sports cars designed for Laffite Automobili Auto Plus news in your smartphone Auto Plus news in your inbox

Announced more than a month ago, the five new cars signed by Laffite Automobili, the Turin-based company founded by Bruno Laffite (grandson of Jacques Laffite, F1 driver between 1974 and 1986) and his wife Letizia, will debut during the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami

As you can see from the photos, these models are quite “extreme”, especially in terms of style, signed in pencil by Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio.

The five cars are aesthetically combined at the level of the front, with very low fenders, a kind of horizontal radiator grille that unites the optical units and ventilation holes at the level of the hood. This family of electric models fits into the supercar segment with distinctly different bodies, but an overall performance-oriented philosophy.

Laffite Atrax

Apparently there is an SUV in the park with a Laffite Atrax. This model is inspired by the Laffite G-Tec X-Road 2020. The Atrax (also available in a Stradale version) has a sporty and sleek style that wouldn’t look out of place on a supercar. Everything is associated with huge off-road tires almost a meter in diameter.

The main differences between the Atrax and the Atrax Stradale are concentrated in the rear: the former has a spare wheel inserted in a structure with special shapes, while the latter has a more classic configuration that emphasizes the space on board and the volume of the trunk.

The passenger compartment, accessed by two doors, consists of three seats, with the seats adjustable only for height and the pedals and steering wheel sliding. The dashboard is minimalistic with a thin monitor that spans the entire width, just below the windshield. Another screen is placed in the center of the steering wheel to control all the car’s functions.

Laffite Barchetta and Barchetta Coupe

GFG Style describes the design of the Laffite Barchetta and Barchetta CoupĂ© as “the most difficult of all”. These two-seater models take some elements from the 1988 Aztec and the 2020 Dora.

The stylistic element that most characterizes them is undoubtedly the arched structure that stretches from the front to the rear fenders. The Barchetta features two separate windshields and a Formula 1-inspired halo.

As with the Atrax, there are multiple screens in the cockpit: three for the driver, one in the center of the steering wheel, and one for the passenger.

Lafitte LM1

It is a supercar dedicated to the track, but which can also be homologated for the road. This is how we could describe the Laffite LM1 in a few words. Low and wide, with huge front air intakes and an XXL rear wing, it will have its place on tracks around the world.

The passenger compartment is designed for two people, the driver’s seat is located in front, and the dashboard is even more streamlined than in other models. Two screens are for the driver, and the other two are for projecting images from external cameras that act as mirrors.

As you may have noticed, we haven’t talked to you about power, performance, price, or even availability since then Laffite Automobili has not yet provided details about these five new models..
