Erling Haaland celebrated his 35 goals by playing video games

Haaland beat Lukasz Fabianski with a superb chip from Jack Grealish’s pass in the 71st minute to take his tally to 35 goals in 31 games this season. The previous record (34 goals in 42 games) was held by Andy Cole (Newcastle in 1993-94) and Alan Shearer (Blackburn in 1994-95).

“I’m very happy and proud… and of course I knew about the record. Jack Grealish and I spoke before the game and he said he wanted to give me an assist for the record. It was a perfect pass. It was a nice feeling. I’m not thinking about new records.

I’m going to bed tonight and then I’ll think about the three points against Leeds. Now I’m going to go home and play some video games and then sleep. We have nine more matches, and all of them are finals.

I am ashamed to tell you (there are no games they prefer)” – Erling Haaland for Sky Sports.

Manchester City have five games left to play in the Premier League this season: Leeds (home), Everton (away), Chelsea (a), Brighton (d), Brentford ( d).
