Monk found dead in remote area Mount Athos and is believed to be a 60-year-old man who has been missing since the beginning of last month.

The body was found late last night in Provat, half a kilometer from the Holy Cell of St. Artemius, where the 60-year-old missing person lived.

Police estimate that the body is most likely that of a 60-year-old monk who has been missing since April 3.

However, this fact will be established through a forensic examination, as it is expected that the body will be transferred to the Thessaloniki Forensic Service for identification.
