The current Porsche Panamera, released in 2016, is living out its final months on the market. Its replacement is expected in 2024, or even at the end of 2023.. Thus, the model is now traveling the world’s most difficult roads to perfect its development. This is an opportunity for “spotters” to steal a few pictures of the car, which they then share online. The English-language site Autoevolution published images a few days ago that can be deciphered in the light of other Porsche news.
Cayenne style
The automaker from Zuffenhausen recently presented an updated version of its Cayenne SUV. If externally the latter does not undergo very serious changes, then in the cabin everything is different. It’s completely new here, as the Cayenne now gets a dashboard largely inspired by the electric Porsche Taycan.
Features of the interior?
Main features: 12.6-inch curved screen for the instrument panel, a traditional 12.3-inch central screen for the multimedia system and, optionally, a third 10.9-inch screen in front of the front passenger. In the stolen images of the Panamera, the right part of the dashboard is still hidden under a piece of fabric, but we can clearly see the curved panel in front of the driver and the central screen. So we can expect this third screen to be used by the Panamera as well. We can even go further and conclude that the interior of the sports limousine from Porsche will be a copy of the Cayenne. The solution? Look behind the wheel…
the order of boxes
The images allow us to see that, as in the Cayenne, The box command migrates from the console, towards the dashboard, as a small lever located behind the right side of the steering wheel. So the other common points between the Panamera and the Cayenne would have to be the console, free from the gearbox controls. This makes it possible to change the location of a certain number of controls and organize additional storage spaces. In particular, there is a cooling compartment for inductive charging of smartphones. According to the manufacturer’s habits, we can expect to discover a little more in the coming weeks, like the presentation of the Porsche Panamera 3d generation will do.
